This article will help you learn how to use Vaam Video


Getting Started

  • Download the Vaam Chrome Extension: This can be found by pressing the puzzle icon in your browser.
  • Pin the extension: This will make it easy to access.
  • Enable camera and microphone permissions: This allows Vaam to record your videos.

Recording a Video

  • Choose a recording mode: You can choose from the following options:
  • Current tab
  • Window
  • Full screen
  • Camera only (this option also has a teleprompter feature)
  • Start recording: Once you've chosen your mode, click the start button. There will be a countdown before recording begins.
  • Pause or stop recording: Hover over the recording window to access the pause and done buttons.

Accessing and Managing Videos

  • Video Library: Your recordings are automatically saved to your video library.
  • Adding a title: Make sure to add a title to your video for easy identification.

Sharing Your Videos

  • Click the Share button: This will provide you with various sharing options.
  • Sharing options: You can choose to share your video via:
  • Email
  • Manual copy: This will copy a preview link to your clipboard.
  • Copy link: This will copy the video link to your clipboard.
  • Download as MP4 or GIF
  • Embed code: This allows you to embed your video on a website.

Uploading External Videos

  • Go to the Video Library: Click the 'Upload Video' button to upload videos not recorded within Vaam.

Customising Your Video Page

  • Go to Settings > Video: This section allows you to change the branding of your video page.
  • Upload a logo: Ensure the logo is in PNG, SVG, or JPEG format.
  • Change background colour: Customise the background colour of your video page.

Adding Interactive Elements

  • Call to action button: You can add a button with a custom URL and label. This can be saved for future use.
  • Calendar widget: Integrate your calendar (Google Calendar, Microsoft Bookings, HubSpot etc.) or use the custom option.

Final Tips

  • The key is to get started: Aim to record your first 3, 5, 10, or 15 videos to get comfortable with the process.
